Lita Fontaine is a post-emerging Winnipeg-based artist who was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. She is Dakota / Ojibwa, and her media include photography, painting and collage. Fontaine has been practicing art for several years. She recently completed her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Regina (2001), and holds a Diploma in Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba (1997).
